Molly Taylor, Chief Merchandising Officer

Molly Taylor has been named Chief Merchandising Officer at Belk, where she will lead merchandising strategy and vision across all product categories. Taylor will oversee assortment, vendor partnerships, and pricing , working closely with Marketing and Stores.
Taylor is a merchandising executive with over 30 years of experience connecting topline vision to bottom-line performance across department store, luxury and off-price retail. Most recently, she served as SVP of Merchandising, Fashion, Editorial and Marketplace at Rue Gilt Groupe, where she led the merchandising vision for fashion categories, editorial content strategy and marketplace partnerships across the luxury off-price ecommerce platforms Rue La La and Gilt. Prior to Rue Gilt Groupe, she served as Chief Merchandising Officer at Saks OFF 5TH and Century 21 Stores, and spent 11 years at Nordstrom in progressively senior merchandising roles. Taylor began her career at Macy's, where she spent 19 years across merchandising, buying and store leadership.
She holds a BS in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Idaho and an AAS in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she serves on the Board of Directors of the FIT Foundation and Co-Chairs the FIT Alumni Advisory Council. In 2022, she was honored as a Top Woman in Retail by the Women in Retail Leadership Circle.
