Debra Schwartzfarb joined Kirk Palmer and Associates after more than twenty five years of human resources experience in specialty retail and manufacturing with Toys "R" Us Inc, Gap and Macy's Private Brands .

Debra began her career with Kids "R" Us in 1985 when there were only ten stores, and after learning the business as a store manager, she joined the Kids "R" Us Human Resources team and supported the growth of that division. Debra ultimately held progressively larger roles at "Babies "R" Us and Toys "R" Us Corporate in both HR generalist and specialist assignments. In 2005 Debra joined Gap Brand as the Director of Human Resources (for the Northeast Zone, Gap brands' largest volume zone) overseeing HR for 500 stores and 25,000 employees. At both Toys "R" Us and Gap, Debra supported both field and corporate executives at all levels.

In 2007 Debra joined Macy's Private Brands as the Divisional Vice President of Learning and Development and soon thereafter became the Vice President of Talent Management with responsibility for recruitment, executive coaching, succession planning, organization effectiveness and employee relations for the Private Brands division of Macy's Inc. In those assignments Debra supported senior leadership in the areas of Product Development, Design, Merchandising and Production along with all support functions including Marketing, Visual and Finance.

Born in New York City and raised in the suburbs, Debra attended the University of Delaware and currently lives in Manhattan where she likes to take advantage of all the city has to offer.
